Care & Maintenance

Regular Cleaning:

Maintaining your Alaska surface is very easy and requires nothing more than common sense to keep the surfaces looking like new for years. Because of its nonporous nature, simple cleaning with mild soap and warm water will keep it shining bright! It’s recommended that you wipe up any food or liquid spills as soon as possible using a cloth- simply rinse off when needed if there are no paper towels available.

Hard to Remove Stains:

Permanent stains can remain if the surface is not cleaned with cleaner, but it’s possible for them go away after some time has passed and natural wear occurs- just like any other stain would do! To clean off stubborn markings from your countertops you’ll need an appropriate amount of glass cooktop cleaner (about 1/2 cup per gallon) as well as either a soft cloth or scrapers made out plastic; work those areas circularly until all traces have been removed.

Heat and Scratch Resistance:

Your new Quartz Surfaces countertop is heat and scratch resistant, but not scratch and heat proof. As with every other material this requires you to use cutting boards or pads when cooking on them so as not to damage the surface of your cookware plus protect yourself from a scorching hot pot handle! Always place trivets under pots OR apply some reasonable pan-warming oil before placing it onto an unheated stone for safekeeping if possible.
